The Nursery

Experience the lives of the Agar-Robartes children in the newly refurbished nursery suite at National Trust Lanhydrock.

Each of the six nursery rooms features embedded interpretation, creating spaces that encourage play and interaction. These include a family tree mobile hung in the stairwell, and a colourful 4m 'toy' theatre.

Welcoming both children and adults, the nursery provides a glimpse into the Agar-Robartes children's upbringing.

Lanhydrock House - The Nursery

An oversized toy theatre, shaped to mimic the Lanhydrock gatehouse, gives an opportunity for play

The theatre draws inspiration from an original toy theatre design, creatively adapted to mirror Lanhydrock’s gatehouse profile. Crafted from grooved and folded eco-board, the facade features a wrapped print and a matte parchment-style laminate, to appear card-like [but be easy to clean!].
